  • Oh, man those look so good! I can’t wait to pick up the next book and add it to my collection! The restaurant recipes are the best. I decided when my children were little and too moody for unpredictable restaurant visits to get your book and make my own entrees. It was a grand success! Never again did my husband and I walk out of an establishment with 2 screaming toddlers in under our arms and a bag of meals hastily plated by the kitchen staff under the others. “Get that family out of here!!!!” Your recipes saved the day! Thanks for all your hard work!

Hey Todd,I’m from Vegas and have never tried a authentic Philly steak from the city of Brotherly Love but I have tried several from POP’S Philly Cheese Steaks on Decatur ave. and find those to be pretty appetizing since your from Vegas have you ever eaten there? And whats your opinion on there Cheesesteaks?

I’ve never been there, but now I have to go check it out!

  • I always try and knock off recipes on my culinary escapades. I was in Philly in ‘89. My wife’s family was from the area and suggested a place around Market and 21st. Must have been 8 feet wide. There was no choice of meat or cheese – by me. They made them and we ate them. Absolutely great. The cheese was a ladled sauce and I got a few tips. Bought two extras and flew them home later that day to Tucson. So they got to room temperature for a few hours – I’m still alive.
Proceeded to try and knock off the sauce first. About a third white American, half provolone and the rest whiz – with some Worcestershire in a basic white sauce. Best beef was the roast prime rib from the local deli. I do my onions crispy. Life’s good here.

  • i’m normally jumping around the online world the majority of the evening as a result I choose to peruse a ton, which is not generally a good matter as several of the pages I find are constructed of worthless nonsense copied from similar internet sites a zillion times, however I have to compliment you because this webpage is genuinely readable and even supplies a lot of genuine content, for that reason cheers for smashing the fad of simply just replicating other individual’s blogs and forums, if you ever want to have fun with playing a few hands of zynga poker with me just let me know – you have my email address :)

Should have tried the cheesesteaks at the Terminal Market – they are better than Geno’s or Pat’s (Rick’s is the name I think) Get them every time I was in Philly
